Chemistry is the study of matter and how it changes and interacts.  It is an upper-level science course at Chavez and as such it requires nothing less than the highest quality thinking.  A successful chemistry student must work conscientiously and consistently.  As a student entering chemistry, you should be prepared to be challenged, work exceptionally hard and give nothing less than your best.   You will be asked to read, write, think, question, analyze, and critique every day as we use multiple texts and policy issues as lenses through which we develop a thorough understanding of chemical phenomena.
